Once the country home of 19th-century poet William Cullen Bryant, Cedarmere Preserve is now a 7-acre span of landscaping that includes some of the most beautiful views near Nassau County homes for sale. There's a pond, a mill, gardens, and more, plus plenty of local wildlife to see and photograph. Professional photographers must book in advance and pay a $200 fee, but ordinary visitors with a camera phone and a love of nature are welcome anytime.

Providing a breathtaking view of the Connetquot River near Suffolk County homes for sale, the Bayard Cutting Arboretum is great for photos in winter.
